Neh-Owh Records now proudly presents the long awaited Disco Split 01 EP. Counter Bodylanguage and Simon Tejl delivers the original tracks on each side. The tracks then takes a turn into unknown territory with a handful of surprising remixes. 

If the main tracks has many characteristics of house and electro as it´s known, the remixes takes you on a trip through edges of dance music. From Teppop´s country-gabber to Lamburg Tonys freaky, funky and noisy something. 

Because the remixes shows this many different possibilities and personal takes on the originals, you can easily hear the whole record in one take. Put on your disco shoes and Enjoy the EP as a rollercoaster ride through the most refreshing sides of todays electronic music.

The Artificial Limps is fresh new electric blood from the city of Aarhus in Denmark.
Vocalist Anna Valgreen is like a jet engine. Like a Karen O. or a P.J Harvey set on fire she´s about to explode.
The guitar is sometimes noisy, and sometimes a bit glam, and sometimes it´s not there at all leaving the space for a massive wall of grating synth. It goes deep and it goes melodic, but always right in your face, like a sledge-hammer of young spirit and trash decadence. Seva´s ghostly backing vocals is making you loose you´re last bit of sanity. You will leave yourselves to the limbs.

The first track is a disco/electro affair. Fresh and clear, like a Depeche Mode or a Human League hit-song, with a synth-theme even Depeche Mode would envy.
You just can´t let it go. It´s dirty like Christina Aguilera at a pig-farm.

Later on the EP things get more rocking. The synth-riff starting side B makes you think of when The Cure knew how to make pop-tunes and a rocking spirit melt together in an enormous self-destructive orgasm.
The last track is a super-groovy remix of the first track. It´s done by leading Danish remixer: Super-Troels. Yet another reason to go for it and listen to it at a loud volume.

To make it even more adorable and fresh, it´s all delivered as a nice transparent yellow 10” vinyl record.

The record contains slightly melancholic electronic based tunes.

Industrial but yet warm looped clicks from talented Slovenian artist Atom Numb marks the beginning of your adventure with a steady beat. Later on the album dreamy and crispy pop-tunes fills your ears.
Even though the tunes has different styles, we really feel it floats in the same direction for pure bittersweet ear pleasure. Most of these tracks are exclusive for the: “Don´t Scare Isn´t Life Not Human” sampler. To be found nowhere else.

Info about the artists and their tracks:

Atom Numb
Atom Numb is the alias of Slovenian minimal click and cut guy Edoardo Fatovich. The two tracks delivers minimal groovy finesse, almost hypnotizing in it´s static coolness.

Tomult
Tomult is setting the table for another round of nice clicking and ringing sounds leading into a climax of bombastic synth strings.

The Band About
Only revealed track from Danish indie/electronica duo. The most nordic sounding track on the album finishing side A in a nice mellow melancholic love-song. Mathias and Sally has their different backgrounds in the folk and electronica scene.

Sleep Party People
Brian Batz is usually doing his job in a more rocking band context in Copenhagen, but the nice fellow is now starting to produce homemade electronic psychedelic pop tunes with destorted vocal-effects.
These two stunning tracks will blow you away if you´ve got any sense of melancholic shoe-gaze inspired pop tunes.

Wrapped In
Italian/Belgian duo. Working with Organ and sound-effects. The duo don´t use computer programming, they use a more improvised approach to the music. The crispy organ and lovely vocal performance from Lynn on the last track takes the album to a nice wondering ending.

Don´t know what´s up with Swedish musicians and their ability to write catchy pop songs. Maybe it´s from eating wasa-bread as children.

Beyond the catchy melodies, this EP is loaded with solid armed beats, noise loops and lyrics that makes you wonder a bit about life. Notwist or Postal Service could be mentioned, but there also seems to be some strings to early 80´s electronic pop-music like Human League, also seen in the very ironic and decadent lyrics. Actually this E.P is just a really nice blend of cutting edge electronic pop-music of the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s.

On a stormy night in late 2007 at Malmö harbour, the duo was founded. Few months later they had enough music to fill a full length album. In 2008 they made their first full length internet release. Lately they made another one on Pitch9 recordings. Joel is the main man behind the production and the beats are really groovy, they make a nice fundament for Cliff´s melodic voice. Joel has a background in the noise scene and the noise can still be heard as distant additions to the mood of the record. Cliff makes the perfect voice to the disturbing lyrics and catchy melodies.

Amy Death delivers a nice remix of the title track to end the E.P. It takes the song even closer to pop heaven or maybe the dance floor.
